In this page we present to your attention four kinds of candle holders. Three of them are suitable for the standard candles and one is made for tea light candles. The cups of the three types: big candelabra for 6 candles, mid-size candelabra for 3 candles and “flower” type candlestick for 1 candle are suitable for candles with ø13mm in diameter. The small candle holders for tea light candles can be used with standard tea light candles with diameter ø30 or ø38 millimeters.
These versions of the candle holders were developed by a precisely selected very good team of specialists including: chemists, designers and master smiths: fitters and welders.
All kinds of candle holders are made using both traditional and innovative methods. Manual metal arc welding is used to weld the separate parts. After that all metal surfaces and welding joints are precisely polished by our master professionals to achieve a homogenized structure of the complete metal product. We generally use low-carbon plain steel in the form of various profiles. These materials are the most appropriate for further processing, whether it is mechanical, heat, chemical or chemical heat treatment.
Depending on the final appearance the candle holders are separated into 2 general groups, which on their part divide into several subgroups.
The first kind of candle holders are the ones with chemical treatment of the metal. In this case after the item is finished it’s metal surface is treated in a strictly specific manner by our chemist with an appropriate solution of definite substances in strictly specific proportions. Due to the precipitation of certain compounds on the metal surface a certain color is achieved after the chemical reactions between the reagents in the solution and the metal surface of the item have passed. This color gives the candle holder an antique look. The chemically treated candle holder may be finished with certain acrylic paint. The completed candle holder is lacquered and marble effect can be added additionally.
The second kind are the painted ones. They can be also divided into several types. One are those which look like antique gold or copper candle holder with a so called “patina” effect. The other are all painted without the “patina” effect.
The candle holders with the “patina” effect, independent if the “patina” has gold, green or turquoise (teal) color have a special base coverage of the metal surface over which the correspondent “patina” paint is applied. Here the term “patina” is used to designate a type of paint “coverage”. Actually the real patina is the chemical compound basic cupric(II) carbonate having the chemical formula Cu(OH)2.CuCO3, also called “noble rust” and having a greenish color.
Those without the “patina” effect also have two major types. Some of them have granite effect to achieve greater relief, greater roughness of the metal surfaces, and others do not have granite effect. All of them, with or without granite effect have a ground coat and are painted in one or a combination of several colors. Some of the candle holders have additional marble effect, others do not. All of the candle holders have a very exquisite lacquer coverage on top.
Each candle holder is packaged in a stylish handmade box with unique colors, matching the color of the candle holder you buy.
